Roof Replacement in Memphis, TN

Full tear-off and replacement with premium materials, from the decking up. Most Mid-South replacements are storm claims — we handle that side too.

When a roof is finished, a repair is money spent twice

Every roof reaches a point where patching it stops being maintenance and becomes an expensive way of delaying a decision. In the Mid-South that point comes earlier than the shingle warranty suggests. Twenty years of hail, wind, summer heat and winter ice will take a "thirty-year" architectural shingle to the end of its useful life at eighteen or twenty, and the signs are consistent: granules collecting in the gutters, shingles curling at the edges or cupping in the middle, tabs that lift in wind and no longer reseal, and leaks that move from one spot to another after each repair.

A replacement is a full tear-off. We strip the old roof down to the decking, inspect and replace any sheathing that is soft or rotted, and build the new roof system from the deck up: drip edge, ice-and-water shield, synthetic underlayment, new flashing, the shingle or metal or tile you have chosen, and ventilation that is designed rather than inherited. Nothing from the old roof is reused, because the old flashing and the old boots are usually why it was leaking.

We replace roofs for two reasons in roughly equal measure: because they have worn out, and because a storm has damaged them badly enough that the insurance company is paying for a new one. The second case has its own process, and it is one of the things our customers most often thank us for.

  • Complete tear-off to the decking. No second layer, no shortcuts over the old roof.
  • Decking replaced where it needs to be, priced per sheet up front so there is no surprise.
  • Full system rebuild: ice-and-water shield, synthetic underlayment, new flashing, starter, ridge cap and balanced ventilation.
  • Impact-rated shingles available, which can also earn a discount on some homeowners' insurance policies.
  • Insurance claim managed from documentation to the adjuster meeting to the final invoice. How claim assistance works.
  • Landscaping protected, nails swept, debris trailered off the same day.

How a roof replacement runs

Inspection and honest verdict

We walk the roof and the attic, photograph what we find, and tell you whether it is a replacement, a repair or a storm claim. If the roof has another five years in it, we will say so.

Estimate, and the claim if there is one

You get a written scope and price. If the damage is storm-related, we document it for the claim and meet the adjuster on site so the approved scope reflects the real damage.

Material choice

Architectural shingle for most homes; impact-rated shingle where hail is a repeated problem; metal or tile where the budget and the structure allow. We explain the trade-offs and let you choose.

Tear-off and rebuild

Usually one to two days. The deck is exposed, inspected and repaired, then the new system goes on in order. We photograph the underlayment and flashing stage before it is covered.

Walkthrough and warranty

We walk the finished roof with you, hand over the material warranty registration, and the yard gets a magnet sweep before the last truck leaves.

Why homeowners choose LASIM for a replacement

Storm claims, reversed and won

We have taken a denied roof claim to a full approval on the strength of the inspection and documentation. That is the standard we bring to every claim.

The whole system, not just shingles

Flashing, underlayment and ventilation are where roofs fail. Ours are new, to spec, and photographed before they disappear under the shingles.

Premium materials, competitive price

We do not compromise on the roof to hit a number. We price competitively and put the money where it matters.

One point of contact

Your project manager runs the schedule, the crew, the adjuster meeting and the cleanup, and answers when you call.
