Roofing & Restoration in Bartlett, TN
Northeast Shelby County's largest suburb, with a generation of brick homes whose roofs are coming due at the same time.
Roofing in Bartlett
Bartlett is the largest of Shelby County's suburban cities and one of the most settled. Most of its housing went up between the 1970s and the late 1990s in the neighborhoods off Stage Road, Bartlett Boulevard, Kirby-Whitten Road and Germantown Road: single-story and split-level brick homes on the older streets near the city center, and larger two-story homes in the subdivisions that pushed north and east toward Brunswick and the Wolf River. The roofs on these houses are on their second or third generation, and a great many of them are reaching replacement age together.
Bartlett is a working city of long-term residents, and that shapes the work. Homeowners here have often lived in the same house for twenty or thirty years, know its history, and want a roof that will see them through the next twenty rather than the cheapest thing that will pass an inspection. They also tend to have mature trees — Bartlett's older neighborhoods are heavily wooded — which makes limb and tree damage a regular part of our storm work in the city.
The City of Bartlett permits and inspects roofing through its own Codes department, separately from Memphis and Shelby County. We pull the Bartlett permit as part of the job.

What we find on Bartlett roofs
The most common Bartlett job is a replacement on a 1980s or 1990s brick home whose second roof, installed in the 2000s, has reached the end. These are often straightforward gable-and-hip roofs where the previous replacement reused the flashing and skipped the ice-and-water shield, and where the attic was never ventilated for the insulation that has been added since. A replacement done properly fixes all of that.
The second is storm damage, and in Bartlett that means wind and trees as much as hail. Straight-line wind off a spring storm lifts shingle tabs on the exposed slopes and brings down limbs from the city's oaks and pines. Emergency tarping, structural repair and the roof are one job with us. Storm damage repair.
The third is water damage that has been living quietly in an attic: a slow leak at a chimney or a pipe boot, wet insulation, a stained ceiling in a back bedroom, and mold on the underside of the decking. We repair the roof and restore the interior under one claim. Water damage restoration.

Bartlett Roofing Questions
Yes. Bartlett permits and inspects roof replacement through its Codes department, which is separate from Memphis and Shelby County. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection as part of the job.
Probably, in a good way. Roofing materials and practice have improved: synthetic underlayment instead of felt, ice-and-water shield in the valleys and at the eaves, impact-rated shingle, and a proper ventilation design. We also tend to find decking that the previous two roofs went over without replacing, which we replace. The third roof can be the best one the house has had.
Yes. We tarp and secure it, remove the tree from the roof carefully, assess and repair the broken rafters and decking, and rebuild the roof, all under the same insurance claim with one project manager. Do not go on the roof or under the damaged section in the meantime.
Almost certainly the chimney flashing, which is the most common leak on a Bartlett-era brick home. The original flashing was often reused on the second roof and has been slowly failing since. The repair is new step and counter-flashing, properly let into the mortar joints, and the ceiling restored once the roof is sound. If the stain is old and dry, the insulation above it may still be wet and should be checked.
For a homeowner planning to stay, usually yes. Class 4 shingle takes the hail that comes through most springs without damage, which means fewer claims and a longer life, and some insurers discount the premium for it. We price it alongside standard architectural shingle and let you decide.
About thirty minutes from Whitehaven to most of Bartlett by way of I-240 and I-40. We work in the city regularly, and storm calls and active leaks are prioritized regardless of distance.
What Mid-South Homeowners Say
Real reviews from our Google listing, quoted word for word. The listing still shows our former name, Q3 Contractors — same owner, same crews, same phone number.
“I can't say enough good things about Q3 Contractors. What started out as a stressful and frustrating situation turned into a smooth, successful project-thanks entirely to their expertise and dedication. Initially, my insurance company denied the claim for my storm-damaged roof, saying it wasn't severe enough to warrant coverage. I felt stuck and unsure of what to do next. That's when Trey of Q3 Contractors stepped in and completely changed the game. They did a thorough inspection, documented all the damage with detailed photos. Their knowledge of roofing and how insurance works was incredible. They knew exactly what to look for and how to present the evidence properly. Because of their efforts, the insurance company reversed their decision and ended up covering the entire roof replacement! The installation itself was just as impressive-professional, timely, and high quality. The crew was respectful, worked quickly, and left everything clean when the job was done. My new roof looks amazing and gives me total peace of mind. If you're dealing with insurance headaches or just want a company that truly goes to bat for you, I highly recommend Q3 Contractors. They went above and beyond for me, and I'm truly grateful.”
