Restoration

Siding & Exterior Restoration in Memphis, TN

Siding, soffit, fascia and trim that bring the exterior back to whole after storms and water damage — and refresh curb appeal along the way.

The exterior is where the roof's problems show up

Most of the Mid-South's housing stock is brick, and brick does not need much. But the parts of the exterior that are not brick — the soffit under the eaves, the fascia the gutters hang on, the trim around windows and doors, the siding on gables, dormers, additions and the many vinyl-sided homes in the newer subdivisions — are exactly where the roof's problems show up first. Gutters that overflow rot the fascia behind them. A roof edge without proper drip edge lets water run behind the soffit. Hail that damages the roof cracks vinyl siding on the same side of the house. Wind that lifts shingles tears siding loose at the corners.

We restore exteriors as part of the same job as the roof, because the two are connected. New fascia goes on before new gutters. Soffit is repaired with ventilation in mind, because it is the intake for the attic. Damaged siding is replaced with matching material, or the whole elevation is re-sided when the match is impossible. Trim is replaced with materials that will not rot in Memphis humidity. And storm-damaged siding is documented alongside the roof, because it is usually part of the same insurance claim.

We also do exterior work that is not storm-driven: replacing tired wood siding and trim with fiber-cement or composite, re-siding a gable or a whole house, and the soffit-and-fascia refresh that makes a twenty-year-old house look cared for.

  • Fascia and soffit repaired or replaced, with attic intake ventilation preserved or improved.
  • Vinyl, fiber-cement and wood siding repaired, matched or replaced by elevation.
  • Window and door trim replaced with rot-resistant materials and flashed properly.
  • Storm damage documented with the roof so cracked, dented and torn siding is in the claim. Storm damage repair.
  • Water-damaged sheathing behind the siding replaced, and house wrap and flashing done right so it does not recur.
  • Full re-siding in fiber-cement or vinyl when the existing exterior is past repair.

How exterior restoration runs

Assessment

What is damaged, what caused it and what is behind it. Soft fascia and stained soffit usually mean a gutter or roof-edge problem; we look for that rather than just replacing the board.

Match or replace

Siding and trim are matched where the product is still available. Where it is not, we replace by elevation so the change is not visible, and tell you honestly which it will be.

Fix what is behind it

Rotted sheathing, missing house wrap and unflashed openings are corrected before the new material goes on. Siding over a wet wall is a wall that rots again.

Install and integrate

Fascia before gutters, soffit with ventilation, trim flashed at every window and door, and the whole thing coordinated with the roof edge so water goes where it should.

Why homeowners choose LASIM for exterior work

Roof and exterior, one crew

Drip edge, fascia, soffit, gutter and siding are one system. We do it as one job.

The cause gets fixed

Rotted fascia has a gutter or roof-edge cause. We fix that too, or the new board rots the same way.

Ventilation preserved

Soffit is the attic's air intake. We repair it so the attic still breathes.

Storm claims included

Hail and wind damage to siding is documented with the roof and scoped into the same claim.
