Roofing & Restoration in Southaven, MS
Just over the state line, Mississippi's fastest-growing city — and thousands of roofs installed in the same few years, now reaching replacement age together.
Roofing in Southaven
Southaven sits immediately south of the Tennessee line, about fifteen minutes from our office in Whitehaven, and it has grown faster than any city in Mississippi over the last thirty years. The subdivisions off Goodman Road, Stateline Road, Getwell Road and Airways Boulevard, the neighborhoods around Snowden Grove and the newer developments pushing south toward Hernando were built in waves from the 1990s through the 2010s. Each wave put thousands of asphalt-shingle roofs on the ground within a few years of each other, and the first waves are now due for replacement, street by street.
Those roofs were mostly production-builder installations: the shingle that was cheapest at the time, minimal underlayment, and ventilation sized to the code minimum rather than the attic. Twenty to twenty-five years of Mid-South weather has finished many of them. A replacement done properly — better shingle, full synthetic underlayment, ice-and-water shield, new flashing and a balanced ventilation design — is a real upgrade on a Southaven house, not a repeat of the builder's roof.
Southaven is in Mississippi, and Mississippi has its own building codes, its own permit process through the city's Planning and Building department, and its own contractor regulations. We work with the City of Southaven on permitting as part of every job there, and we keep to the local requirements on the Mississippi side of the line the same way we do on the Tennessee side.

What we find on Southaven roofs
The most common Southaven job is the first replacement on a late-1990s or 2000s subdivision home. The roofs are similar across a neighborhood, they age at the same rate, and when a hailstorm crosses the area, the whole street ends up filing claims within the same month. Adjusters see the same roof over and over; documentation that stands out is what gets a claim scoped properly. Insurance claim assistance.
The second is wind. DeSoto County is flatter and more open than Shelby County, with younger trees and more exposure, and straight-line wind off a spring storm lifts shingle tabs on the windward slope of one house after another. That is a repair on a sound roof and a replacement on an old one, and we tell you honestly which. Roof repair.
The third is the water damage that follows a leak nobody noticed in a house with a bonus room over the garage: stained ceilings, wet insulation and mold in an attic that was never ventilated properly. We fix the roof and restore the interior under one claim. Water damage restoration.

Southaven Roofing Questions
Yes. Southaven is a core part of our service area and fifteen minutes from our office. Mississippi has its own building codes, permit process and contractor regulations, and we work with the City of Southaven on permitting for every job there. Ask us and we will walk you through exactly what applies to your address.
Very likely. A builder-grade roof from 2001 has had more than twenty years of hail, heat and wind, and most are at or past the end. Look for granules in the gutters, curling or lifting shingles, and stains on an upstairs ceiling. A free inspection tells you for certain, and whether any recent storm has made it a claim.
Yes. Southaven permits and inspects roof replacement through its Planning and Building department. We handle the permit and the inspection as part of the job, and the cost is in the estimate.
Yes. Hail big enough to damage the roofs next door very likely damaged yours, and hail bruising is invisible from the ground. Storm claims have time limits, and the damage gets harder to attribute as months pass. An inspection either documents a claim while it is claimable or tells you your roof was spared.
Many Southaven subdivisions have covenants that govern roof color and sometimes material. We ask for the covenant before ordering, bring samples that comply, and can provide product documentation if the association asks for it.
Fast. We are fifteen minutes away, and an open roof with water coming in goes to the front of the line. After a major storm that has hit many homes at once, we work through the calls by severity and run extended hours.
What Mid-South Homeowners Say
Real reviews from our Google listing, quoted word for word. The listing still shows our former name, Q3 Contractors — same owner, same crews, same phone number.
“I can't say enough good things about Q3 Contractors. What started out as a stressful and frustrating situation turned into a smooth, successful project-thanks entirely to their expertise and dedication. Initially, my insurance company denied the claim for my storm-damaged roof, saying it wasn't severe enough to warrant coverage. I felt stuck and unsure of what to do next. That's when Trey of Q3 Contractors stepped in and completely changed the game. They did a thorough inspection, documented all the damage with detailed photos. Their knowledge of roofing and how insurance works was incredible. They knew exactly what to look for and how to present the evidence properly. Because of their efforts, the insurance company reversed their decision and ended up covering the entire roof replacement! The installation itself was just as impressive-professional, timely, and high quality. The crew was respectful, worked quickly, and left everything clean when the job was done. My new roof looks amazing and gives me total peace of mind. If you're dealing with insurance headaches or just want a company that truly goes to bat for you, I highly recommend Q3 Contractors. They went above and beyond for me, and I'm truly grateful.”
