Marion is the county seat of Crittenden County and, over the last twenty-five years, has become the Arkansas side's bedroom community of choice for people who work in Memphis. It sits just north of West Memphis and Interstate 40, about twenty minutes from our office in Whitehaven over the bridge and up I-55. The subdivisions off Military Road, Highway 77 and Airport Road were built largely from the late 1990s onward, drawn by the Marion school district, and the city has kept growing as families have moved across the river for the space and the schools.

That makes Marion's housing among the youngest in our footprint, and the work here is mostly first-cycle: production-builder roofs from the 2000s and 2010s that are reaching, or have reached, their first replacement, alongside the older homes near the historic downtown and the courthouse square that are on their third or fourth roof. What we find on Marion roofs

The most common Marion job is a storm claim on a subdivision home. The roofs across a neighborhood are the same age and the same product, a spring storm crosses all of them at once, and the claims arrive at the insurer together.
